Northius has signed a partnership agreement with the NGO Aida Books&more. The partnership aims to provide help and assistance to women who suffer from violence and abuse.

  • Northius will run a book drive among students and staff and has agreed to donate these books to Aida Books&more. The book drive will involve more than 65,000 students and about 1,000 employees.
  • The NGO Aida Books&more will sell the books collected by Northius and has agreed to invest the profit into social activities aimed to help women in Ashroy (India).

 

A Coruña, 12/15/ 2022.-Northius, the leading company in the Training sector in Spain, has signed a partnership agreement with the NGO Aida Books&more. Northius and Aida Books&more will work together to collect and sell books. The profits will be invested in building a shelter for women who suffer from violence and abuse in Ashroy (India).

The company will organize a book drive among our students, faculty, and business teams. They will count on the support of 65,000 students, 1,000 staff members and teachers from 12 educational schools in all sectors. They will collect books that Aida Books&more will later sell to raise the funds needed to carry out the shelter project.

“At Northius we are deeply committed to equal opportunities and to promoting a more just, supportive and sustainable society”, explained Héctor Pérez, head of sustainability at Northius. Pérez also added “that is why this initiative, which we are conducting in-house, will be reflected in society with the building of a shelter for abused women in India”.

A cornerstone of Northius’ sustainable development strategy is the commitment to facilitate access to training and culture and to promote circular economy. “All of this will be achieved with this agreement,” stressed Pérez. “Both Northius and Aida Books&more share the ultimate goal of training people. That is why this cooperation agreement reflects the mission, values, and philosophy of both entities,” he recalled.

Aida Books&more is the first network of solidarity bookshops in Spain. Its mission is to collect all kinds of books and sell them at very low prices to help educate society by facilitating access to culture and education.
