o The leading training group in Spain reflects its commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles and supporting studies to combat the disease.
o 70% of the company’s workforce, with a presence in 18 countries, is made up of women.
Northius, a leading group in the training sector in Spain, joins the Women’s Race in A Coruña, giving visibility to its commitment to cancer research and healthy lifestyle habits. This year it is subsidising the participation of more than a hundred workers in the race under the slogan #Juntosporunfin. “Participating in the Women’s Race is a very important event for our company, as this initiative defends some of the most important values that are also part of our company: healthy habits, equal opportunities and support for diversity, among many others”, says Northius’ Sustainability Director, Héctor Pérez.
The group has previously been involved in the Women’s Race in Barcelona and Madrid, encouraging the participation of its employees in both cities, and this is the second consecutive year that it has joined the march in A Coruña, which will take place on 24 September.
In addition to supporting the participation of women who develop their professional careers in the different offices spread throughout the city, Northius is once again promoting the pink tide as one of its sponsors.
“As an active part of the city, since our headquarters are in A Coruña and almost 50% of our staff work here, we did not want to miss the opportunity to support a project with which we share so many values. In addition, we consider it fundamental to contribute directly to research in the fight against cancer,” says Pérez.
More training and resources
Breast cancer affects 35,000 women and men in Spain every year. For this reason, Northius defends the need for more training and more resources to be allocated to research into the disease. The goal is to achieve better treatments that result in a better quality of life and, ultimately, to find a cure for this disease.
